X-MEN: THE END-DREAMERS & DEMONS (BOOK I) (2004) #2 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: X-Men: The End (2004) #2
"Omens and Portents" is written by Chris Claremont with art by Sean Chen and Sandu Florea. Aliyah, the daughter of the mutant Bishop and the Shi'ar princess Deathbird, has uncovered a plot by the vengeful Kree to strike back at the Shi'ar Empire using the Phoenix. But while intergalactic Slavers were turning Jean Grey over to their Kree customers, Skrulls and the Brood attacked the transaction. Using the confusion to escape, Aliyah, Phoenix and Nocturne (who very much looks like she could be Nightcrawler's daughter) take off in the Starjammer, a starship piloted by a computer intelligence identifying itself as Binary. Before long, the Phoenix has reached out to her friends, the X-Men, for help and accidentally brings Nightcrawler aboard the space-faring vessel.

Responding to Jean's call, Cyclops leaves his partner Emma Frost behind and sets out to gather others to help. He's rejected outright by Rachel Summers, who is helping Kitty Pryde run for political office. And he has little luck recruiting Cable to the cause. But, eventually Cable and Wolverine join Scott Summers, even though Logan must leave behind the sick and rapidly weakening Storm to do so. But Cyclops knows that if Phoenix' friends heard her psychic call, her enemies did as well. Sending out Rogue and Gambit to neutralize Mr. Sinister, Cyclops thinks he's getting a step ahead of the game. But the enigmatic mutant is thinking too far ahead to be so easily taken out of play!
