X-MEN (1991) (#1-275) (MARVEL) #133 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: X-Men #133
"Dust" is written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Ethan Van Sciver and Norm Rapmund. Professor Xavier's X-Men search the globe for mutants who are being persecuted, exploited or worse. And in the snowy mountains of Afghanistan, Wolverine convinces a heavily armed cadre of Muhjadeen that he means to end their slave trade. When he bursts through a bullet-riddled tent flap to rescue the young mutant slave within, he finds she's already in the arms of the mysterious Fantomex and many of her captors lie dead. Fantomex claims to have more information on Logan's transformation at the hands of the Weapon X program than even Wolverine could've thought existed. So his appearance is of great interest to old Canuckle-head. But it's the berka-wearing mutant called Dust that holds the greater mystery.

Meanwhile, on an Air India flight on its way to Mumbai, Professor X handily defeats a group of radical Islamic terrorists but finds a greater threat to his life, personally, waits for him on the airport tarmac. An assassin fires a projectile at his head and it's stopped only microseconds from impact by Jean Grey's telekinesis. When X-allies Thunderbird, Feral and Thornn leap onto the would-be killer, she is revealed to be Lilandra, the mentally unbalanced empress of the Shi'ar empire. Thinking Xavier to be still possessed by his twin Cassandra, she seeks her former lover's death. But the alien beauty has missed her mark. Should her target have been Jean Grey, the host for the Phoenix spirit?
