X-MEN (1991) (#1-275) (MARVEL) #121 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: X-Men (1991) #121
'Nuff Said month continues. "Silence: Psychic Rescue in Progress." Humanity is on the brink of a full-scale war with mutants and the X-Men can no longer hide behind the secrecy of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. Professor X brazenly has declared openly his mutant status and that of his students, exposing the X-Men to public vitriol and violent attack. However, the battered Beast knows the real reason Charles Xavier compromised their security. His mind has been displaced, swapped with that of an evil psychic woman of equal or greater mental power.

Now Jean Grey and Emma Frost must retrieve the Professor's mind from the brain of the woman where it lies dormant. In a psychedelic sequence of mind-twisting phantasmagoria, the pair of beautiful mentalists enter the strange landscape that is Xavier's mind. There Jean discovers the awful truth, that of the existence of Charles' long-lost twin sister and that Xavier tried to kill her while they were both still in the womb. Featuring writer Grant Morrison's writing notes artwork by Frank Quitely.
