X-MEN (1963) (#1-113, UNCANNY X-MEN #114-544) (MARVEL) #450 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: X-Men (1963) #450
"The Cruelest Cut" is written by Chris Claremont and drawn by Alan Davis and Mark Farmer. Our story begins as Nightcrawler and Marvel Girl engage a zombie pirate queen and her crew in the X-Mansion's Danger Room. Reveling the swashbuckling, Kurt Wagner nevertheless takes the opportunity to try to teach Rachel Summers how to defend herself without her powers. They are victorious and in the passion of the moment, share an unexpected kiss. Before they can figure out what that means, they are interrupted by Storm and Wolverine. The weather witch and the berserker are planning a rare night out on the town, taking in a Broadway show (starring Hugh Jackman!).

However, the death of four humans in Mutant Town and the related disappearance of a mobster's daughter calls Storm and Logan away from their evening abruptly. Autopsies reveal the deaths were caused by adamantium claws, much like Wolverine's. Calling in Bishop for help, the mutants track the attacker back to a mutant-themed nightclub on the edge of District X where humans play at being mutants. There, Logan encounters a young girl who has his moves and his claws. Most shocking is how she buries them deep in his gut as she resists being taken in for questioning. And what do the mysterious Bacchae want with this mysterious newcomer? Meanwhile, Sage takes time out of her research of the Hellfire Club to help another young girl deal with her troubled past and make a fresh start.
