X-FORCE (1991) (#1-129) (MARVEL) #124 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: X-Force #124
Will they or won't they? The title says it all: "Edie and Guy Finally Do It" but just like in real life, there's some major issues that have to be worked out before the young mutants get to that point. For example, Edie's recent mood-swings and fluctuating teleportation powers. Could it all have something to do with Edie's inability to deal with her troubled past? That's Guy's guess and they don't call him Mr. Sensitive for nothing. So for the good of the team (and so the team doesn't end up in the middle of the ocean when trying to get across town), Edie (also known as U-Go Girl) decides to return home and confront the childhood that made her who she is today.

The problem is that 'back home' is not just a farmhouse and two loving parents. It's also a daughter who doesn't know Edie is actually her mother and not her sister. And what's not back home is her child's real father or any easy answers. But with a bit more understanding and a bit more peace in her heart, Edie finds she can really begin to live her life and that includes loving Guy. Writer Peter Milligan continues to tap directly into a young adult audience for his X-Force revamp, mixing in equal parts MTV's Real Life and the Jerry Springer Show. Meanwhile, guest artist Darwyn Cooke keeps things hopping with a breezy and sexy style.
