WORLDS FINEST (1941) (#2-323) (DC) (WORLD'S FINEST) #206 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Worlds Finest (1941) #206
This giant-sized issue features four classic tales of the world's greatest super-team with an otherworldly flare! First, Batman, Robin and Superman travel to man's prehistoric past to solve "The Riddle of the Captive Cavemen!" (from World's Finest #138 and drawn by Jim Mooney). Their trip back through time was prompted by a modern-day mystery, a dying alien who sought to use an alien ray gun on humans but found it would only work on cavemen. In Earth's misty past, the trio of super-heroes disguise themselves as primitives and allow themselves to be captured to learn the aliens' intentions. Then, an odd alien beast that gains super-powers and invincibility from eating iron ore is exchanged for Superman by a strange teleportation beam. While the beast threatens Gotham City, Superman finds himself with odd new powers on a world on the verge of violent revolution. "The Creature That Was Exchanged for Superman" was originally presented in World's Finest #118 and was drawn by Dick Sprang.

Then, Batman, Robin and Superman must solve the "Riddle of the Four Planets!" (originally presented in World's Finest #130 and drawn by Mooney). In order to stop a destructive starfish-like creature from threatening the Earth, our heroes must rely on a troupe of intergalactic entertainers and the prophecy of an ancient poem. On four very different planets, untold perils must be braved for the ingredients of a potion that can destroy the starfish creature. And finally, Superman and Robin have to find help for their strangely distorted companion Batman in "The Mirror Batman" (originally presented in World's Finest #121 and drawn by Mooney). Can they solve the mystery of a strange mirror dimension before the twisted and confused Batman wrecks the city with his new powers?
