WORLD OF WHEELS (1967) #23 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: World Of Wheels (1967) #23
The mid-'60s saw the nation's fascination with motor sports reach new heights. Motorcar races, motorcycle rallies and hot rod contests were everywhere, especially in the U.S.' South and Midwest. Here are three stories of speed, skill and daring straight out of that time when men and their machines competed for glory and honor on and off the road. First, a poor boy from the rural South finds he doesn't need money to have a winning race car career in "Speedball" (drawn by Charles Nicholas and Vince Alascia).

Then, a young driver learns the dangers of mixing icy roads with teenage bravado when he becomes a victim of treacherous conditions. Oddly, his Dad doesn't want him to stop driving fast. Instead, he encourages his son to take it on to the track! Don't miss "The Wild Ones (Parents)." Then, motocross racer Ken King gets much more than he bargains for when he signs up to perform in a circus act called "The Cage of Eagles" (drawn by Jack Keller).
