TWELVE (2007) #2 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Twelve (2007) #2 Imagine being frozen alive for six decades and waking up to find all of your family, your wife and your children long dead. That's the grief American super-soldier Captain Wonder must bear as he realizes that he's gone from 1945 to 2008 "overnight." The Defense Department's attempt to keep the heroes in the dark for now about their predicament has come apart. And at a well-appointed estate outside New York City, the dozen mystery men of the past are quartered as they adjust to their new surroundings.

Some do better than others. Dynamic Man, for example, jumps with both feet right back into the super-hero business thwarting a drive-by shooting, rescuing a boy from a burning building and catching what he thinks is a mugger. Unfortunately, Dynamic Man's naivety and prejudice leads him to make a mistake, grabbing a female victim's black husband, instead of her white attacker. Meanwhile, the Black Widow re-connects with the dark spirit that gives her the powers she uses to fight crime. And Rockman moves to the basement, pounding on the foundation to try to communicate with his long-lost race of underground dwellers. Written by J. Michael Straczynski with art by Chris Weston.
