TWELVE (2007) #0 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Twelve (2007) #0 Cover by Chris Weston. Marvel kicks off its revival of some of least known mystery men of the 1940s with this look back at some of their original stories. First, in a strange tale of America's war on saboteurs drawn by Basil Wolverton, we meet Rockman, Underground Secret Agent, who keeps foreign spies from undermining America's defense readiness in "The Tunnel that Led to Death" (from USA Comics #1). Then, Dennis Burton takes on crooks during the day as a brave District Attorney but at night, in private, his twin pistols blaze out as the macabre Laughing Mask (written by Mark Harr, with art by Maurice Gutwirth, from Daring Mystery Comics #2).

Then, the Phantom Reporter uncovers a protection racket that involves conspirators very high up in the police force in a story written by Mike Robard and drawn by Sam Cooper (from Daring Mystery Comics #3). Finally, catch character designs and commentary by Weston on all the members of the Twelve, including the lovely Black Widow, the flamboyant Blue Blade, the patriotic Captain Wonder, the powerful Dynamic Man, the Electro robot, the mysterious Fiery Mask, Master Mind Excello, Mr. E and the grim Witness!
