THRILL-O-RAMA (1965) #1 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Thrill-O-Rama (1965) #1
Harvey's Thriller series of comics kicks off with four tales of weird destiny narrated by the shadowy figure known only as The Man in Black or simply, Fate. In our first story, "The Hate Cupids," Fate contends with the power of fellow immortals Venus and the Weaver to intervene in the destiny of the ancient Greek sculptor Praextes and his beautiful daughter. Caught while escaping the wrath of King Midas, the pair beg for mercy from their host, the desert caliph Saladin. The sultan agrees to grant clemency, if Praextes can perform a near impossible task: complete a statue of Venus already severally damaged by a structural flaw. If that weren't enough pressure on poor Praextes, add in the interference of Venus' cupid and the Man in Black and a dire picture emerges indeed!

Then, read with wonder the strange, twisted tale called "This is How it Might Have Happened". The fate of two brothers with similar initials rests in the simple mix-up of their names by a concerned doctor. Will both live through what fate has in store? Or will one die a tragic death? Then, the hypnotist Lozar causes havoc in the mind of a gambling man in "Six Hours of Doom." Next, a sneak thief named Matt Rorich discovers that stealing a valuable clock from a dying man ties his own heartbeat in with the ticking clockworks of the antique. Read on to discover if Rorich survived "When Time Ran Out!" Then, a stranded space crew gets caught in a lethal time loop after crashing their ship, a spacecraft they lovingly dubbed "The Old Hulk."
