THOR (1962) (#83-125 JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY, 126-502) #148 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Thor #148
First appearance of the Wrecker. "Let There Be Chaos!" is written by Stan Lee and drawn by Jack Kirby and Vince Colletta. Odin, angered by his son's latest act of disobedience, has taken Thor's godly power from him. Loki, the god of evil, has followed Thor to Earth hoping to take advantage of his weakness to strike a final blow against his half-brother. In defiance of Odin, Balder and Sif rode to Thor's defense but now all four have earned Odin's wrath and are stranded powerless on Midgard.

But Loki is never helpless when his guile is boundless. Contacting his evil ally, the Norn Queen, to request an Asgardian recharge, Loki draws down mystic might. But the power instead is rained down on a common thief, a second-story man nicknamed the Wrecker. Now endowed with near-limitless strength and with his favorite weapon, the crowbar, now indestructible, the Wrecker confronts the police he ran from before his transformation. Only Thor, with just half of his strength, is brave enough to try to end the Wrecker's tirade though it may cost him his life. Also, see the origin of the Inhumans' enigmatic leader in "And Finally: Black Bolt!"
