THOR (1962) (#83-125 JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY, 126-502) #128 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Thor (1962) #128
"The Power of Pluto!" is written by Stan Lee with art by Jack Kirby and Vince Colletta. Guest-starring Hercules. Silver Age magic at its best. The God of Thunder has been defeated and gravely injured after Odin halved his godly might in order to teach him humility. His ignominious fall was at the hands of the Prince of Power Hercules who fancied the lovely Jane Foster. But as Thor recuperates it's another lovely female that has caught Hercules' eye an actress who recruits him for Hollywood's latest epic a movie about his native Olympus.

But Hercules' screen test is unlike any other in Tinsel Town. Ostensibly in preparation for filming, Hercules is assailed by Titans and other denizens of the underworld. Still, enthused by the prospect of regaining his Earthly fame and impressing the actress playing Hippolyta, Hercules signs an Olympian Pact inadvertently signing over his soul to Lord Pluto, ruler of Hades. As the nether horde attempts to pull him into the Greek version of Hell, Thor, his former rival, arrives to help him temporarily push back Pluto's forces. Also, read "Aftermath!" the sensational story of what happens to the gods and men after Ragnarok the Norse apocalypse!
