THOR (1962) (#83-125 JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY, 126-502) #123 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Thor (1962) #123
"While a Universe Trembles!" is written by Stan Lee with art by Jack Kirby and Vince Colletta. By imperial decree of Odin, mortals are not allowed in Asgard. Yet Thor has already violated that rule once and as our story begins, is ready to do so again to protect his secret identity as Dr. Donald Blake. Reporter Harris Hobbs has threatened to expose Thor's double-life unless the Thunder God takes him to the Realm Eternal. Reluctantly, Thor agrees not knowing that Loki has also broken Odin's rule and has sent the Absorbing Man to invade and conquer the regal halls of Asgard.

As Thor and Hobbs arrive, the Absorbing Man is hurling Odin's cosmic power back at him with just as much force and fury as it was delivered. With the ability to become whatever he touches or whatever touches him, the super-villain seems unstoppable. But through Odin's wisdom both the Absorbing Man and Loki are undone. Meanwhile on Midgard (that's Earth to us mortals), a witch doctor from an embattled tribe in Southeast Asia is granted incredible strength by a misplaced Norn Stone and sets out to claim a kingdom of his own as the Demon! And in "Tales of Asgard" Thor and his Argonauts sail into "The Jaws of the Dragon!" even as Odin watches the approach of Ragnarok, the Twilight of the Gods! (by Lee and Kirby).
