THOR (1962) (#83-125 JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY, 126-502) #103 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Thor (1962) #103
First appearance of the Enchantress and the Executioner. “The Enchantress and the Executioner!” is written by Stan Lee with art by Jack Kirby and Chic Stone. Returning from the future where he defeated the would-be world conqueror Zarrko, Thor is greatly fatigued by his trip through time. As Dr. Don Blake he rests in his office and the secret love of his life, nurse Jane Foster, sees to it that he is comfortable. But there’s no time for rest for the God of Thunder for even as he sleeps, in Asgard, Loki plots anew his brother’s downfall.

The God of Mischief’s new pawn is the lovely Enchantress, a sorceress of unearthly beauty who visits Dr. Blake in mortal guise, hoping to drive a wedge between him and Jane Foster. Her plan works at least in making Jane jealous and sending her away in a tearful rage. But when Dr. Blake rejects Amora’s advances, she returns to Asgard to recruit the fearsome Executioner. His mission: destroy Jane Foster! Can the mighty Thor halt the mad plans of this terrible twosome before he loses the one he loves most forever? Also don’t miss “To Live Forever!” by Lee and Larry Lieber and another spectacular Tale of Asgard, “Thor’s Mission to Mirmir!” (by Lee and Kirby).
