THANOS (2003) (#1-12) (MARVEL) #5 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Thanos (2003) #5
"Entry!" is written and drawn by Jim Starlin and co-drawn by Al Milgrom. This is it! The cosmic battle between Thanos and Galactus! At stake is nothing less than the fate of the universe. Acting behind the scenes (and from another dimension) is Hunger, a living force eager to ravish our reality. Having duped Galactus into providing him the means to enter our dimension, Hunger begins to make his move. Thanos and his unlikely comrade-in-arms Pip the Troll infiltrate Galactus' immense space vessel and try to stop the space giant from using the Infinity Gems to let Hunger into our world.

Galactus believes he's tapping into a pure source of the living energy he has been forced to drain from planets in order to survive. Eager to be free of the guilt of causing the doom of countless million sentient beings, Galactus unwittingly becomes Hunger's pawn. Thanos comes upon Galactus too late to stop him from opening a portal for Hunger but in combating Galactus, both unleash power on an immense scale. Knowing he's no match for Galactus, Thanos tries to reason with him but to no avail. Hunger enters our reality with just one item on his agenda: to feed!
