TEEN TITANS (1966) (#1-53) (DC) #10 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Teen Titans (1966) #10
Art by Nick Cardy. The fab four teens of the DC Universe make the scene for a "Scramble at Wildcat!," the down-and-dirtiest motor bike race you ever saw. The Scorcher, a hot dog-riding, cigar-chomping un-cool cat, is willing to do anything to win a scramble and that definitely includes murder. It begins when Robin, the Boy Wonder, lays his new wheels on his fellow Titans. It's Robin's intention to take the way-out Bat-Bike out west to judge the 1st Annual Sand Scramble, a road race run by the Wheeler-Dealers, a teen bike club. Aqualad, Kid Flash and Wonder Girl sign on for the ride, natch!

The race is scheduled to begin and end in Wildcat, a ghost town that once saw rich profits from black gold, oil, but now is nothing much more than a ramshackle collection of abandoned houses. Flip Farnum, president of the Wheeler-Dealers, introduces the Titans to his eccentric Uncle Al, who is convinced there's still oil in Wildcat. Spirits are high as the race begins. But the sudden and unwanted appearance of the Scorcher and his gang turns the rally into a real downer. The Teen Titans are in for the fight of their lives as the Scorcher turns up the heat right along with the RPMs!
