TANGENT COMICS: WONDER WOMAN (1998) #1 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Tangent Comics: Wonder Woman (1998) #1
One-shot. Cover by Gene Ha. Written by Peter David and drawn by Angel Unzueta. In the imaginations of the writers of Tangent Comics, each DC Universe icon is re-invented in new and sometimes terrifying ways. In this story, say goodbye to compassionate Diana, the Amazon Princess from Paradise Island. Instead, say hello to a green-skinned alien beauty with no seeming regard for humankind and a compulsion to "wonder" about the nature of existence.

Created on a distant planet as the means of ending centuries of war between the males (Beast Boys) and females (Element Girls) of her species, Wanda (as she is called at "birth") is instead despised by both sexes and marked for death. Coming to Earth in a prototype spaceship, hoping to escape, she instead brings her attackers with her. But after a lengthy running battle through the streets of Las Vegas and a long internal ontological diatribe on the nature and existence of God, Wonder Woman merely "thinks" her opponents out of existence! Don't make this femme fatale mad!
