Plot Synopsis: Swamp Thing, Saga of (1982) #61
"All Flesh is Grass" is written by Alan Moore with art by Rick Veitch and Alfredo Alcala. The consciousness of the Swamp Thing races across the galaxy searching for plant life to inhabit. In his path the planet J586 offers a lush green possibility. In he rushes to take its physical form as his own. Too late, to his horror, he discovers the entire planet is filled with sentient plant life; not mindless vegetation as he had expected.

Monstrous in aspect and melded together with the minds of thousands of souls, the Swamp Thing stumbles clumsily through his new environment sharing in the psychic pain of the inhabitants of J586. Great Medphyl, the Green Lantern guarding this sector, is almost too overcome by the grief of losing his father-figure Jothra to respond to the disaster. But soon, he does respond, using the fantastic power of the his ring to carefully disassemble the hulking titan of living souls the Swamp Thing has become. In return, the guardian of the Green gives him one more day with his beloved Jothra.
