STRANGE ADVENTURES (1950) (#1-244) (DC) #228 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Strange Adventures (1950) #228
Enjoy this "gigantic" issue of DC's greatest sci fi tales. In the late '40s and through the '50s and early '60s, science fiction stories played off the paranoia of the Cold War but spinning yarns of worlds colliding, alien invasion and nuclear holocaust. And while DC's reserved stories lacked the sheer manic lunacy of Timely-Atlas' sci fi fables, they nevertheless had a charm of their own.

This collection offers: "The Day the Earth Split in Two!" by writer John Broome and artists Sid Greene and Bernard Sachs; Adam Strange facing "The Fadeaway Doom!" as written by Gardner Fox and drawn by Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson; "Dream Journey Through Space" by Broome and artists Gil Kane and Sachs; "The Hothouse World!" written by Fox with art by Mort Drucker and Joe Giella; "The Last Television Broadcast on Earth!," written by Bill Finger with art by Greene and Giella; "Detour in Time!" by Fox and artist Jerry Grandenetti and Frank Giacoia; and "The Plant That Hated Humans!," an Atomic Knights story by Broome and Anderson.
