Plot Synopsis: Spider-Man (1963) #93
"The Lady and the Prowler!" is written by Stan Lee and drawn by John Romita. Hobie Brown is back as the Prowler and this time he's decided to take on Spider-Man. Old Webhead is wanted for questioning in the death of police Capt. George Stacy. And the Prowler figures he should be the one to bring Spidey in since he recently helped the webslinger carry off a deception aimed at the deceased policeman not so very long ago.

Meanwhile, the bereaved Gwen Stacy can't believe that Peter Parker isn't with her in her greatest hour of need. And when her uncle calls to invite her to stay with him and his wife in London, Gwen finds Peter offers nothing to make her want to remain in New York. As Spidey and the Prowler battle it out on the streets of the Big Apple, the police wait below ready to take their shots at our hero. Finally defeating the Prowler, Spider-Man swings his way to the airport in a bid to convince Gwen to stay but, in typical Parker style, he arrives just moments too late.
