SPACE GHOST (DC) (2004) #1 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Space Ghost (2004) #1
Premiere issue. "Crucible" Cover by Alex Ross. Story by Joe Kelly with art by Ariel Olivetti. This isn't your Dad's Space Ghost from the 1960s TV tube! And neither is it that goofy talk-show host from the Cartoon Network. As a licensed Peacekeeper, Eidolon Elite Officer Bach is sworn to uphold the Commandment; the ruling principle by which a chaotic universe attempts to maintain some semblance of Order. His exemplary work is the product of his drive, skill and passion for meting out justice. And it's this achievement that qualifies Special Officer Bach for consideration to be included in the elite of the elite; a high-tech black ops squad known as The Wrath.

For Bach and his pregnant wife Elua, the promotion couldn't come at a better time. With a child on the way, Bach is more than happy to join The Phantoms as they are called on their stealth missions for Eidolon's ruling government. However, when it becomes clear that The Wrath is more about punishing and looting than it is about upholding the Commandment, Bach suddenly realizes he's made a terrible mistake and has stumbled across a festering evil lurking beneath the peaceful surface of his home planet. Before he can get home, however, to take his wife and unborn child out of harm's way, The Wrath come down on their errant member with full force. This bloody chapter is just the beginning of the trials that will turn a man into a Space Ghost!
