SECRET INVASION: WAR OF KINGS ONE-SHOT (2009) #1 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Secret Invasion: War of Kings One-Shot (2009) #1
Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning with art by Paul Pelletier and Bong Dazo. In the wake of the Skrulls' failed attempt to subjugate Earth and the subsequent imitation and replacement of Black Bolt, the Inhumans realize they must return to their roots in order to be ready for the inevitable next wave of conflict. Created by the Kree in mankind's dim and distant past, the Inhumans were meant to be weapons of war for the empire. Now, Black Bolt and the Royal Family (Medusa, Karnak, Triton, Gorgon and Crystal) stand ready to embrace that role.

Using super-technology beyond mortal ken, the Inhumans uproot their home city of Attilan from the moon's surface and send it hurtling through space toward Hala, the Kree homeworld. Along the way, they wipe out a straggling group of Skrulls and three Shi'ar warships who barely see what hits them. Striking with "echo" weapons that harness the incredible power of Black Bolt's scarcely heard voice, the Inhumans punch their way through the Kree defense shields and present themselves before Ronan the Accuser, the de facto leader of the Kree Race. Ronan turns over the reins of power without a prolonged fight. But on Chandilar, the capital world of the Shi'ar Imperium, Emperor Vulcan takes Black Bolt's aggression as an invitation to start a war!
