NEW X-MEN: ACADEMY X (2004) #30 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: New X-Men: Academy X (2004) #30
"Nimrod" part 3 of 4 is written by Craig Kyle and Chris Yost with art by Paco Medina and Juan Vlasco. In the future, mutants have begun to win the war against the Sentinels. In a desperate move, Nimrod is sent to kill Forge's wife and threaten his children in order to force the mutant artificer to build him a time machine. Forge makes the device but manages to divert the killer Sentinel to a different timeline - ours - a complication that lands the foe in the hands of Rev. William Stryker and damages his systems. Two years on, Nimrod escapes with minimum power and seeks out Forge again for repairs.

The New X-Men race to Forge's rescue but Nimrod takes remote control of their Blackbird and forces a crash landing. He also manages to overwrite the programming on Forge's guard robots and sends them against our young heroes. But when Forge in turn manages to use a backdoor program to take control of Nimrod, the New X-Men don't get word quickly enough and they tear into the Sentinel from the future, undoing Forge's control! This one has all of the classic elements of an X-tale: Sentinels, exploding aircraft and lots of action!
