NEW AVENGERS (2010) (#1-34) (MARVEL) #6 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: New Avengers (2010) #6
Death of Doctor Voodoo. The Heroic Age continues. Written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Stuart Immonen and Wade Von Grawbadger. The cover of this issue warns “One of these Avengers will die!” but you can bet it won’t be Marvel’s mutant cash cow Wolverine. The original Sorcerer Supreme of Earth Agamotto has demanded his mystic eye be returned to him so he can defend himself against the rest of the Vishanti, ancient spirits of magic that guard the realms of reality. To press his point, Agamotto has begun flooding New York City with spectral demons.

The current Sorcerer Supreme, Jericho Drumm a.k.a. Doctor Voodoo, issues a challenge to Agamotto: face his champion for the right to wield the Eye. Imbuing Wolverine with all of the powers of the New Avengers and the Son of Satan, he watches as the mutant powerhouse dukes it out with Agamotto in another dimension. The ancient wizard assumes a number of forms, friends and foes from Logan’s past, to disorient him and when Jericho’s brother Daniel inadvertently breaks the rules of the challenge, all seems lost. With Earth’s fate hanging in the balance, Doctor Voodoo must make the ultimate sacrifice in order to save his world and the Avengers can do nothing but look on with horror and hope.
