MICRONAUTS (1979) (#1-59) (MARVEL) #49 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Micronauts (1979) #49
"Keep the Home Fires Burning!" is written by Bill Mantlo with art by Butch Guice and Dan Bulanadi. Commander Arcturus Rann, piloting the wondrous humanoid-shaped Bioship space vessel, attempts to return to the Microverse through the Spacewall of the Enigma Force, which has never been breached. It is guarded by the Time Travelers, mysterious beings of pure chronal energy created by Rann's own travels through the fourth dimension.

Meanwhile, Homeworld, Rann's destination, is witness to the coerced wedding of Argon and Duchess Belladonna in the body of Lady Slug. With thousands gathered to witness the event, Argon holds a gladiatorial bout to entertain the crowd. Acroyear, Bug and Prince Pharoid are pitted against an abomination created in Argon's Body Banks and bred for war. Meanwhile, the Micronaut Devil recuperates in the sick bay of the Bioship and is unaware he's become the target of the last of the Soul Survivors, a stowaway bent on revenge!
