LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN VOL. 2 (2002) #3 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol. 2 (2002) #3
The Martians have invaded merry old England. And armed with their heat ray and black fog, the invaders quickly have gained the upper hand on Her Royal Majesty's finest. As more and more cylinders drop in the British countryside around London, the League is called back to regroup. Campion Bond, serving a new M appointed by Queen Victoria, instructs our heroes to merely watch and learn of the Martians' strengths and weaknesses, if any.

But on the frontlines, Captain Nemo, Mr. Hyde and Alan Quatermain encounter a new weapon unleashed by their Martian foes the dread tripod walkers. As appalled by this new horror as they are, they be taken aback even further by the treachery of the Invisible Man, who has struck a deal with the otherworldly combatants. When Mina stumbles onto his plot, Griffin teaches her a hard lesson and reveals his inner, violent nature. "And the Dawn Comes Up Like Thunder" is written by Alan Moore and richly illustrated by Kevin O'Neill.
