LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN VOL. 2 (2002) #2 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol. 2 (2002) #2
Alan Moore, writer, and Kevin O'Neill continue the pulse-pounding adventures of the Victorian Age heroes of literature. Campion Bond, working for the new M, travels to the site where Martians have landed in the English countryside. There he makes contact with the League, who still quite put out by his work for the former M, the criminal mastermind known as Professor Moriarity. As they stand over the enormous crater created by the Martian craft, they cannot know the menace it holds as they calmly discuss how to proceed.

But once they glimpse the multi-tentacled occupants of that massive cylinder and view the awesome might of the invisible heat ray they command, the League knows they've encountered a threat even their great talents may not overcome. At a nearby abandoned public house, they regroup and face their fears. As British soldiers march by to the front and their doom, the League temper their response. And, in an unguarded moment, Mr. Hyde reveals to Mina Murray just how he feels about her and what he'd like to do about it. Meanwhile, the Invisible Man chooses sides and gives the Martians a proposition.
