JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA (2006) (#0-60) #1 A - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Justice League of America (2006) #1
Premiere issue. "The Tornado's Path" Part One is written by Brad Meltzer, with art by Ed Benes. Award-winning author Meltzer, who penned the DC Universe-changing Identity Crisis, returns with a relaunch of the publisher's longest lasting superhero team book. The big three: Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman have returned from their self-imposed exile after the events of Infinite Crisis to form a new group with an honored tradition. But as the old friends sort through candidates they find their personal biases coming to the surface. Superman wants teammates he likes. Batman wants those he trusts and Wonder Woman is seeking to add power to the team.

Meanwhile, one candidate, the amazing android known as Red Tornado lies dormant on a slab at the laboratory of Metal Men creator Doc Magnus. His spirit has left this shell as it has many times before and his mortal wife Kathy sits by his side awaiting a return that never comes. She doesn't know that Red Tornado, who takes the civilian name John Smith, is being aided by Deadman to inhabit a human body, one already devoid of mind and spirit. Meanwhile, Green Lantern, Arsenal and Black Canary start a new mission and Black Lightning and Vixen mingle with the criminal Underworld. Out of this crucible, a new team is forming!
