JSA (1999) #81 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: JSA (1999) #81
Cover by Alex Ross. Spotlight on Stargirl. "My Heroes" is written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Dale Eaglesham and Art Thibert. Courtney Whitmore is a young girl coming of age who found the Cosmic Converter belt that once belonged to the Star-Spangled Kid and then inherited Starman's Cosmic Rod to complement her skill and power. She also gained the Star-Spangled Kid's former partner, Stripesy, as her step-Dad who doubles as her super-suit-wearing companion S.T.R.I.P.E.

Courtney's relationship with her stepbrother and her Mom is strained enough without throwing her biological father into the mix. Since abandoning her at an early age, Courtney's father hasn't been a part of her world. But the JSA has been there for her and when the team finds themselves in Philadelphia trying to deal with an out-of-control super-heroine Liberty Belle, Stargirl knows she has to be there for them. Courtney feels she can handle anything. But is she ready for the biggest shock of her young life?
