JIGSAW (1966) #2 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Jigsaw #2
Witness the strange adventures of the Man of a Thousand Parts! Col. Gary Jason of the U.S. Space Force has been rescued from his crashing lunar capsule and remade by aliens so that he can stretch his limbs out to extraordinary length. He's also become an intergalactic champion helping his alien benefactor, Si-Krell face down his enemies. So, although he's reluctant to get involve in interstellar politics, Jigsaw agrees to enter the kooky "Intergalactic Olympics!," representing Earth. To refuse would be an insult to the galaxy! But among the crazy quilt of contestants is one big red meanie Zarkow of the planet Pulotonia!

This alien is one big crimson bubble of trouble as Jigsaw quickly finds when he's challenged to an individual death-duel by Zarkow. While bandaged and wheelchair-bound victims of Zarkow's previous challenges look on, Jigsaw and the menace face off astride solid laser beams suspended over a massive water tank. As is his privilege, Jigsaw has chosen Earth to be the site of his grudge match with Zarkow. And as startled humans look on, Jigsaw wins contest after contest, finally taking the top honors in the games. But Zarkow isn't finished and soon activates a remote device causing Jigsaw to go berserk. Overcoming Zarkow's control, Jigsaw follows the sore loser into space and ends his terror with a blast from his spacecraft. Also, dig the Man From S.R.A.M., a thinly veiled parody of the Martian Manhunter, who enters the "Madhouse in Hollywood!"
