HULK: GRAY (2003) #2 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Hulk: Gray (2003) #2
"B is for Boy" is written by Jeph Loeb with art by Tim Sale. What is the attraction the Hulk has for Betty Ross, daughter of his greatest enemy, Gen. "Thunderbolt" Ross? Is it more than just physical? Bruce Banner was drawn to Betty's independence and tenacity; a flower blooming in the desert, a woman surviving the life of an Army brat as the daughter her father wished were a son. Is this why the Hulk too seeks her out even through the haze of his Gamma Ray-clouded mind?

In the front yard of the Ross' family quarters, the Hulk encounters a phalanx of U.S. G.I.s with orders to shoot to kill. With Betty in his arms, it's unclear whether the Hulk has taken her hostage or is protecting her from being shot. But what is immediately clear is the immediate hatred Thunderbolt Ross has for the gray-skinned behemoth. Later, when the Hulk has fought his way through much of the available heavy armor on base, he collapses and reverts to Bruce Banner. With the help of Rick Jones, he seals himself away in an underground concrete bunker. But can even tons of rock keep the Hulk's anger from breaking loose and wreaking more havoc?
