HAWKMAN (2002) (#1-49) (DC) #19 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Hawkman (2002) #19
"Hunting for History," part of the "Lightning Strikes" storyline that continues in JSA, is written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Scot Eaton and Ray Kryssing. Black Adam, perennial foe of Captain Marvel, has been many things throughout his long life. Since starting off as an Egyptian prince Teth-Adam and receiving the power of Shazam, he has been a freedom fighter, a villain and now, a vigilante. Forming his own group to rival the JSA, Black Adam has called on Northwind, among others, to combat evil by any means necessary and to show no mercy. Northwind is the exiled son of a human father and a winged mother from the land of Feithera who was godson to Carter Hall, the Hawkman, and Shiera Hall, the Hawkwoman, and also a founding member of Infinity, Inc.

Now back in the Middle Eastern nation of Kahndaq, Carter Hall investigates the archeological discovery of a previously unknown tomb from an ancient Egyptian dynasty. Given just one week by Kahndaq's tyrannical ruler Asim Muhunnad to complete their work, the history-hunters uncover the tomb of a woman and her children something mysteriously very dear to Black Adam. Ordering Northwind to attack his foster father, the once-villain stops the dig and with a mighty clap of his hands covers the tomb with sand again. What is it that Black Adam is hiding there? Also, who is striking Hawkman with voodoo magic that travels all the way from St. Roch?
