HAWKMAN (2002) (#1-49) (DC) #12 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Hawkman (2002) #12
Guest-starring the Atom. Hawkman and Hawkgirl finally get back together, sort of... "The Darkraven" is written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Rags Morales, Dennis Janke and Michael Bair. In a mountain cavern in Tibet, the Hawks fight for their lives against a man-bird created by the incredible power of the Thanagarian Absorbascon. It transformed Hath-Set into a pillar of salt and made her lover into an unholy amalgamation of his pet raven and himself. Soon, however, the Hawks and the Atom have buried the monster in an avalanche of stone and ice.

Heading back to St. Roch, Louisiana, the Hawks say goodbye to Speed Saunders and try to pick up the pieces of their lives. Hawkman reminisces on his former lives and the seemingly doomed course he and Shiera/Kendra are always set on whenever they rekindle their love. But certain now that fate can be changed, Hawkman asks Hawkgirl to see him in a different light. Just as she's warming to the idea, however, the D.E.O. breaks in to arrest Kendra for the murder of police officer Darryl Jenkins. Also, why are the hallways of the Stonechat Museum as quiet as a grave; what is the horrible secret of Kristopher Roderic; and why does all this spell big trouble for the Hawks?
