FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) (#1-416) (MARVEL) #43 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Fantastic Four #43
"Lo! There Shall Be An Ending!" Written by Stan Lee and drawn by Jack Kirby. The worst has happened! The Wingless Wizard has turned the Thing and the Human Torch against Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Girl. Reed and Sue have managed to disable the Thing and take him out of the Wizard's clutches when the Torch flies in to stop them. They escape when the Torch's flame peters out and the Frightful Four begin to question why they're keeping Johnny Storm alive. The villains also begin to suspect that perhaps the Torch isn't quite converted to their cause as of yet.

Meanwhile, Mr. Fantastic tries to incarcerate the Thing to keep him from bringing the Baxter Building down around their ears. The Frightful Four - the Wizard, the Trapster, Sandman and Medusa - discover the Torch's treachery and turn on him, taking him out of the picture. But that buys time for Mr. Fantastic to reverse the psychic effect of the Wizard's technology on Ben Grimm, leaving the Thing weak but on the side of the good guys again. That's when the Frightful Four make their move. With the Torch a helpless captive and the Thing seemingly too weak to move, the villains take on Reed and Sue alone. But before long, the Thing and the Torch rejoin the fight and the ending comes swiftly. Another victory snatched from the jaws of defeat by the FF!
