FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) (#1-416) (MARVEL) #137 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Fantastic Four (1961) #137
"Rumble on Planet 3" is written by Gerry Conway with art by John Buscema and Joe Sinnott. Cool, daddy-o! The FF stands as a house divided when Medusa and the Human Torch take on Mister Fantastic and the Thing. Caught in the midst of a 1950s dream-made-reality, our heroes find themselves on opposite sides of the Generation Gap with one half of the team siding with the bike-riding Youthies and the other half allied with the older, established Patriots.

It's a twisted view of America that's been brought to life by the dreams of Slugger Johnson, a minion of the late Gregory Gideon, who happened to catch the attention of the reality-altering Shaper of Worlds. Now, Slugger looks like Albert Einstein and has holed himself up in a Medieval castle while transformed Long Islanders battle it out over who'll control his resources. In a final act of desperation, Slugger asks the Shaper to transform him into the ultimate weapon and Warhead stalks the Earth!
