DRACULA GIANT-SIZE (1974) #3 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Dracula Giant-Size (1974) #2
68 Big Pages of macabre Marvel masterpieces. Cover by Pablo Marcos. This issue's novel-length original story is titled "Call Them Triad, Call Them Death! (written by Chris Claremont and drawn by Don Heck and Frank McLaughlin). Someone is killing innocents in the sleepy English hamlet of Rutherton and veteran vampire-hunters Inspector Chelm of Scotland Yard and Kate Fraser believe that only Dracula can be responsible. But the Lord of the Undead is many miles away in London when he first hears of the Rutherton murders and Kate's uncanny ability to read the history of objects just by touching them convinces her that an evil older even than Dracula is at work here. As Kate is forced to join forces with Dracula to battle the ancient horror called the Triad, she realizes that the man who was Vlad Dracul still has some heroism and honor left in his immortal bones.

Then, a petty crook regrets the day who tries to rob a famous photographer who never allows her face to be seen: the mysterious artist they call "The Girl in the Black Hood!" (script by Larry Lieber and art by Heck, originally presented in Tales to Astonish #32). Then, a beautiful but ruthless young dancer wants to claw her up way to the top of show biz but crosses the line in "On With the Dance" (script by Stan Lee with art by Russ Heath, originally presented in Menace #2). Then, a thug on the run from the cops holes up with "Sweet Old Ladies," who are nothing of the kind (script by Lee, originally in Astonishing Tales #18). The book is rounded out by "Vampire at the Window" (from the same comic) and "Drive of Death" (from Astonishing Tales #17).
