CIVIL WAR: X-MEN (2006) #3 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Civil War: X-Men (2006) #3
Written by David Hine and drawn by Yanick Paquette and Aaron Lopresti. The subversive plot of General Lazer is pulled out into the light and exposed as his attempt to manipulate the U.S. government into a war with mutants comes to a crashing end thanks to National Security Adviser Valerie Cooper. Outside a long-abandoned S.H.I.E.L.D. bunker in the Nevada desert, Lazer's last gambit is played out as he uses the mind control powers of a mutant named Johnny Dee to turn Cyclops against Bishop.

Bishop's mission, backed by the Sentinels of the Office of National Emergency and the mutants Sabre and Micromax, was to retrieve to U.S. protection the 198 mutants hiding in the bunker. Against him stand the original X-Men, Domino and Shatterstar. Things get terribly out of hand before the two sides realize they've been manipulated and that a greater threat lies somewhere deep in the bunker in a container marked W.M.D.
