CHALLENGERS OF THE UNKNOWN (1958) (#1-87) (DC) #66 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Challengers of the Unknown (1958) #66
Cover by Joe Kubert. "Rendezvous With Revenge!" is written by Mike Friedrich with art by Jack Sparling. The Legion of the Weird, a quintet of sorcerers bent on destroying the Challengers and controlling the world, has raised Tukamenon the Undying, a gigantic mummy to use as its weapon. In a previous battle, the monster fought the Challs to a standstill while Kaftu, Son of the Silent Sphinx, blinded their young sidekick Tino with a spell. Red bravely agreed to donate one of his eyes to the boy, who is also his little brother. The transplant was a success but now the brothers share the same vision.

The Legion of the Weird returns to grab up the boy and hold him hostage. The Challs track down their enemies and come at the wizards head-on. Magically conjured storms and the awesome Tukamenon stand in their way but the Challs bull on through. They even manage to break the spell Kaftu has over the mummy and turn him against his former master. But the Legion's other members, Count Karnak, the mysterious one; Mistress Wicker, witch of Salem; Madoga, last of the Indian witch doctors; and Hordred, the druid, still hold great power granted them by their unearthly master Om and they'll stop at nothing to destroy the Challengers!
