CAPTAIN AMERICA (1968) (#100-454) (MARVEL) #142 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Captain America (1968) #142
Guest-starring the Falcon and Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. "And In The End..." is written by Gary Friedrich with art by John Romita Sr. and Joe Sinnott. The Grey Gargoyle has battled his way into a top-secret S.H.I.E.L.D. bunker and has gotten his hands on Element X, a compound so lethal that a few drops could crack the planet in half. The international spy organization had hoped to blast Element X into orbit and had a rocket fueled and ready on the launchpad for just that purpose, until the villain invaded with his petrifying touch.

Now, it's up to Cap and the Falcon to stop the power-mad super-villain before he can use Element X to blackmail the world. But how can two men without super-powers stop a madman who is nearly invulnerable, super-strong, can fly and turns flesh to stone with a mere touch? Not only that, but the Grey Gargoyle has fought Thor to a standstill in the past! Don't fret, true believer! You know the Star-Spangled Avenger always has a plan!
