Plot Synopsis: Brave and the Bold Annual #1 What if there had been an 80-Page Giant featuring DC's great team-up of the '60s? Here's your four-color answer four titanic tales of hero helping hero to fight the good fight. First off, "Wanted the Capsule Master" was written by Bob Haney and drawn by George Roussos, and shows the very first Brave and the Bold team-up Martian Manhunter and Green Arrow. A series of puzzling robberies suggest alien crooks may be up to no good on Earth. Justice Leaguers Martian Manhunter and Green Arrow (with help from Speedy) have to match wits with a Martian criminal mastermind to stop an invasion.

Next, the Batman calls on his JLA buddy, the Flash, to help catch a cadre of super-speeding thieves. Of course, the Scarlet Speedster responds but why is it killing him? "The Death of the Flash" is also written by Haney and drawn by the legendary Carmine Infantino. Joe Simon and Jack Kirby fans will rejoice in "The Invasion of America" will unites the Newsboy Legion (including the Guardian), the Boy Commandos and Sandman and Sandy against Nazi saboteurs. Finally, the "Strings of Punch and Jewelee" (written by Dave Kaler and drawn by Steve Ditko) capture Captain Atom and it's up to the deadly and beautiful Nightshade to rescue him and the mysterious Ghost, as well!
