BLOOD OF THE DEMON (2005) #2 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Blood of the Demon (2005) #2
Guest-starring Batman. "Hunters" is written and drawn by John Byrne, scripted by Will Pfeifer and inked by Nekros. Since the days of Camelot, the ancient demon Etrigan has been tied with the mortal soul of Jason Blood. Blood's influence kept the Demon for indulging his murderous savage side and the Demon protected Blood from the occult menaces he traveled the world seeking out. King Arthur's court magician Merlin wove a spell to ensure that balance would always remain in place. But now a cadre of demon worshipers have fused the two halves of the Jason Blood/Etrigan creature so that the physical form of Blood is no more. Now the occult investigator only exists as a voice in Etrigan's head.

The newly freed savage Demon takes as his first victim an elder god summoned by the demon cult that liberated his homicidal rage. Thrown from the battle halfway across town into a back alley, Etrigan is momentarily stunned allowing the police and the press to get a good look at him. But before long, the Demon is back up and tearing into anything mortal around him. As Blood's friends the blind Hindu mystic Randu and his wife Anjeli scour the town looking for their ally, Jason is able to exert a small measure of control over the Demon's terror spree. Turning Etrigan's lethal energies back toward the demon cultists who attacked him in the first place, Jason Blood thinks he's able to use the Demon for good. But the Batman has a different opinion!
