AVENGERS PRIME (2010) #1 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Avengers Prime (2010) #1
Premiere issue. Written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Alan Davis and Mark Farmer. From their beginning, the Avengers have always been connected to the realm of Asgard. It was one of Loki's many attempts to destroy his half-brother Thor that brought them together in the first place. And now that Asgard has itself been destroyed through the events of the Siege brought on by Loki and Norman Osborn, the Realm Eternal once again brings together three of Earth's Mightiest Heroes to answer the call of adventure.

Thor, Steve Rogers (who was once Captain America) and Iron Man formed the core of the original Avengers and now find themselves caught up in the remnants of the dimension-spanning Rainbow Bridge which once linked Asgard to Earth and all of the other Nine Realms. Through a portal this trio of champions is accidentally drawn to the realm of Vanaheim where one of their greatest foes now holds sway. Enter the Enchantress! Also, enjoy the railings of Loki in a reprinted tale of how the God of Mischief inadvertently caused "The Coming of the Accursed Avengers!" (written by Ralph Macchio and drawn by Walt Simonson).
