ARAK (SON OF THUNDER) (DC) (1981) #7 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Arak #7
"A Dark, Unlighted Place" is written by Roy Thomas, Ernie Colon, Gerry Conway and Mike Barr with art by Colon and Rodin Rodriguez. The warrior-woman Valda and Arak arrive in Rome, the ancient seat of civilization and current capitol of the Catholic faith. Their mission is to carry a message from their liege Carolus Magnus to the Pope in hopes of gaining his aid in rescuing the wizard Malagigi from the Witch Angelica of White Cathay.

The Pope agrees but only if the maiden and the red-skinned barbarian will agree to stay with him overnight and provide security for his annual Christmas parade through downtown Rome. However, the ground begins to shake and the crowd scatters in terror as a giant white hand reaches up from underground and grabs the Holy Father and Valda. Only by getting help from the legendary Wandering Jew can Arak track them down to the vast catacombs under the ancient city!
