ALIENS (1988) (#1-6) (DARK HORSE) (BLACK & WHITE) #3 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Six-issue series, B&W, 32 pages, $1.95 cover
The first Dark Horse licensed comic. This book was a huge success upon its initial release. After the crash of the B&W comic market during the summer and fall of 1987, this comic proved that a B&W comic could indeed again appreciate in value quite rapidly. The plot revolves around Newt and Hicks joining an expedition visiting the Alien homeworld. But the goals of the expedition are quite different than represented. At the same time an experiment on Earth goes very wrong, and Aliens get loose. Story by Mark (TIME COP) Verheiden with excellent artwork by Mark A. Nelson.
