ADVENTURE COMICS (1938) (#32-503) (DC) #446 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Adventure Comics (1938) #446
Starring Aquaman. Our story begins with a minor drama involving Aquaman's infant son Arthur Curry Jr. and ends with the unveiling of a lethal conspiracy that proves "The Manta-Ray Means Murder!" (written by Paul Levitz and Martin Pasko with art by Jim Aparo). Aqualad and Tula's investigation of a diamond smuggling ring reveals that the super-villain Manta-Ray is behind the criminal operation. And while Manta-Ray can seemingly handle Aqualad and his girlfriend, he doesn't stand a chance against the King of Seas.

Beaten, the Manta-Ray manages to escape but before he does, Aquaman figures out that it's not just diamonds the crook is smuggling, Manta-Ray is also moving guns to Atlantis to support Karshon, who usurped Arthur Curry's throne! Also, don't miss the Creeper's battle against a gigantic puppet being remote-controlled by a sleeping man to commit "Mind Over Murder" (written by Pasko and drawn by Ric Estrada and Joe Staton).
