GHOST RIDER (1973) (#1-81) (MARVEL) #6 - Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Ghost Rider (1973) #6
"Zodiac II" is written by Tony Isabella and Gary Friedrich, with art by Jim Mooney and Sal Trapani. Ever since his Satan-inspired creation, the Ghost Rider has suffered from a whopper of an identity crisis: is he a supernatural monster or a super-hero? To the Las Vegas P.D. and Attorney General Barnett, the Ghost Rider acted like a costumed super-hero when he rounded up the demon called Roulette. More, the authorities feel Johnny Blaze needs to continue to act like a hero in order to show his appreciation for the dropping of all charges of reckless driving and car theft that had been brought against him.

But Johnny, being a free-wheeling sort, has other plans and refuses to accept "assignments" from the cops. Blaze's blunt refusal sends A.G. Barnett's son, police detective Dave Barnett, over the edge with anger. The police want the Ghost Rider's help rein in a new Zodiac gang that seems to be attacking the financial empire of Cornelius Van Lunt, the leader of the old Zodiac gang. But Blaze's stubborn 'No' triggers a psychotic break in Dave Barnett and he kidnaps Johnny's girlfriend Rocky in an effort to extort the Ghost Rider's help. Meanwhile, in San Francisco, the new Taurus of the Zodiac gang employs a high-tech motorbike to steal more of Van Lunt's money. If not the Ghost Rider, who can stop the astrological assailants' crime wave?
