DAREDEVIL (1964) (#1-380) (MAN WITHOUT FEAR) (MARVEL) #7 - Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Daredevil #7
Written by Stan Lee illustrated by Wally Wood.

It seems the mismatch of the century ... the blind acrobat against the titan of the depths: Daredevil vs. the Sub-Mariner. One employs his unique radar sense to dash across rooftops and to hurl himself headlong into peril. But the other can stand toe-to-toe with the Hulk and can bench-press a tank. But before the battle is over, the monarch of Atlantis learns a deep and enduring respect for the Man Without Fear.

Namor, the Sub-Mariner spent a good part of the Golden Age and the Silver Age waging war on mankind and entered New York as an invading force many times. So it's no reach of the imagination that he'd soon run afoul of Daredevil, the self-proclaimed defender of the city. But who could have guessed that Namor would turn to Matt Murdock, Daredevil's law-practicing alter-ego, to stage his defense in America's courts of law?

This issue is considered a hallmark effort in the long and illustrious penciling career of Wally Wood. His crisp lines and perfect symmetry create a stark and realistic backdrop for this epic battle one only Stan Lee could have contrived. This issue also debuts the crimson costume of Daredevil that would quickly become his trademark look. This is one of the top books of Marvel's early Silver Age.
