Plot Synopsis: Brave and the Bold (1955) #85
Starring Batman and Green Arrow. First appearance of Green Arrow's new look. "The Senator's Been Shot!" is written by Bob Haney and drawn by Neal Adams. Both Bruce (Batman) Wayne and Oliver (Green Arrow) Queen are forced to consider whether to end their costumed crime-fighting in order to do more good in the world through their civilian identities. Our story begins with an assassination attempt on the life of Sen. Paul Cathcart, whose support of a federal anti-crime bill, hangs in the balance along with his life.

As Batman and Green Arrow, our heroes travel to Europe to track down his would-be killer: a criminal ringleader named Miklos Minotaur. But as Bruce Wayne, the Darknight Detective takes the temporary position of U.S. Senator to cast the deciding vote on Cathcart's bill. And as Oliver Queen, the Emerald Archer struggles to complete his plans for an environmentally friendly housing project before Minotaur can steal the bid from under him!
