Excalibur Classic: Free For All TPB

As an aside, the New York Times reported last week that (now that darn near every Independent bookseller in America has gone bankrupt) Amazon.com is supposedly retreating from their policy of dumping books at near-cost, and is treating their book business as a "mature" enterprise. As such, they are now only discounting books by single digits in many instances, and very seldom by more than 30% off. With that happy thought in mind, I sincerely encourage you to enjoy our amazingly generous 30%-50% off holiday book sale. Simply put, it may be a while before we can afford to offer you such low book prices, again....

Invaders Classic TPB

Before I move on and let you know how our Urban Peak benefit auction turned out, I did want to mention that we do still have a few absolutely free trade paperbacks and hardback comics collections available for you to select as a free bonus. I sincerely thank everyone who donated items to be sold, contributed cash, bought raffle tickets, and/or bid in our auction. Below you will see a photo of me presenting our check, and the donated clothes and toiletries we have received thus far, to Caeri Mancini, the 41st Emperor of the Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire.

Donation Check to Urban Peak

If you live near Denver, and missed our Urban Peak auction, I want you to know that we will keep the huge donations box for new (or good condition) used winter clothing at the front of our Jason St. Mega-Store, until December 31st. The homeless children and teens helped by Urban Peak will desperately need warm clothing and personal toiletries, especially when the weather turns bitter cold in January. If you have any hats, coats, sweaters, boots, mufflers and scarves, socks, gloves or personally-sized toiletries that you would be willing to donate, you can drop them off at any Mile High Comics location, and we'll make sure that they get to those kids in need.

Also, we are still accepting cash contributions for Urban Peak. Mile High Comics will immediately match any cash donation that you make, thus doubling the positive impact of your contribution. So you know, there will be an estimated 2,000 young people who will have no option but to sleep in alleys, hallways, and under bridges in Denver this January. Working together, we can help to make the lives of those lost and desperate children just a little bit better.

Happy Holidays!
