Great Selection of Holiday Comics Gifts Shipments Arrive
The weather is definitely turning this morning, with a stiff north wind blowing
away the last remnants of our summer. While I will miss the warmer days, I have
to admit that the rapid approach of the holiday season has me very excited. That
is because after three years of groundwork and preparation, our Jason St. Mega-Store
is finally coalescing into the amazingly cool comics shop that I first envisioned
when I bought the building 1,000 days ago. Not only have we been able to rearrange
and enhance our existing vast displays of comics, toys, and books, but entirely
new areas are being developed right now that will make the Jason St. store a holiday
delight for kids of all ages. If you have not visited Jason St. in a while, you
really should try to stop by. I think that you will be amazed at all that we have accomplished...
While my personal efforts have been pretty much entirely focused on enhancing
our Jason St. Mega-Store
, I have also encouraged Aaron at our
Colorado Blvd. Store,
David in
Lakewood,
and
Lynn in Littleton
to order heavily for the upcoming holiday season.
Never, ever, in the 45-year history of Mile High Comics have we purchased so
many books, toys, posters, and other gift items to offer to those of you who
frequent our retail stores. To give you an illustration of what I mean, we have
(at cover price) $44,000 in Marvel and DC trade paperbacks and hardbacks on our
current Diamond invoice, and we have had similar size invoices for the last
several weeks. When I say that we have been stocking up to provide you with a
great selection for the holidays, I really mean it. If you want to turn some of
your friends on to cool comics collectibles, we definitely have an incredible
selection available for you right now!
Ocean of Comics
I will close today's newsletter by mentioning that we are going to be hosting our
first no-minimum-bid toy and gift auction for this holiday season on November
22nd. As we did last year, we will be working very hard to find a cool diversity
of potential gift items to include in the auction, with a special emphasis on
items for kids. The auction will also include a nice selection of older comics,
variant editions, and quite a few brand new trade paperbacks and hardbacks.
We hope that you can join us for this fun event.
Happy Collecting!
